Odd or Even?

In math we have been talking about what makes numbers even or odd.
One afternoon we investigated some numbers that had pairs that matched up perfectly and numbers that had an "odd man out."
The following morning, we used our number racks to test the remaining numbers through 20.

We found a pattern: all the numbers that we say out loud when we count by 2s are even!
