Dr. Sarah, The Vet

We had a special guest visit us at the end of last week.  Sawyer's mom brought her friend, Dr. Sarah, to teach us about animals and her job as a veterinarian.

First, she shared tools that she uses to take care of animals.
We learned what it means to restrain an animal and why that is helpful.
We saw the difference between the sizes of needles a doctor might use on us compared to needles that a vet might use!

Based on the size of the animal, you might need a pretty big nail clipper!
We can swallow our pills with water or chew them...but a cow has a pretty big pill to take, so they might need some help with this instrument!
A horse has hooves as a functional part and needs a special tool to scrape them.

Next, we focused on a mouth as a functional part and how different animals eat.  We ate like cows, goats, horses, possums, giraffes, and more!

We got to see cool skulls, too!

We're pretty thankful that we have functional parts that help us eat neatly!

Thank you for teaching us, Ms. Jamie and Dr. Sarah!
