Why are they tackling each other?
We read a book about the life and discovery of Columbus.
We learned that Columbus actually made a mistake! He was a brave explorer and thought he was finding a new route to the Indies, but he really didn't know that the lands of the Americas were blocking his way. We talked about whether or not he "discovered" the land if there were already people living there. It gave us a lot to think about!
