Researchers in Action

We have a pet leopard gecko in our classroom (He-who-still-needs-to-be-named).

As we came into the classroom one morning it wasn't long before Room 408 noticed that our gecko was shedding his skin.  Upon further observation, we realized that he was also EATING his own skin! At first we thought, "Yuck!"  But then Room 408 realized that it was a great opportunity for research, discovery, and more questions...

 Keira quickly grabbed a cup and collected the skin for our Discovery Table for further investigation...
