Deep Thinkers!

In our current Reading Workshop unit, we are working on being deep thinkers while we read.  We used Thinking Strips to retell stories and recorded text evidence and thought about the "big idea" of stories...

We have been working on activating our schema before we read to help us before we read...

...and we are working hard to make text-to-text and text-to-life connections.  Sometimes it's tricky to listen to that voice inside our head, but we are getting better every day!
