Presidents Mini-Inquiry

We learned that we don't have school on Monday, Feb. 19th, because it is President's Day (and also a staff Professional Development day).

We wondered why Washington and Lincoln are such favorite presidents.  We did a mini-inquiry to see what we could find out.  We investigated a lot of sources like books, money, magazines, pictures, posters, PebbleGo, and Brainpop, Jr.

We learned that Washington was our first president and that Lincoln was the president during the Civil War.  We liked that he had similar ideas to Martin Luther King, Jr!

We learned a lot!
